No gifts are exchanged at Thanksgiving, but a guest could bring a nice wine or other special bottled beverage to contribute to the big meal. ( have no idea how the airlines feel about that, though) Better yet, bring a copy of your family's most beloved recipe for pie or rolls or Yorkshire pudding or whatever. At our houses, it's all about the cooking, and group coooking at that, of old favorites.

Clothing, all you can do is bring layers so you can add if it gets cold and nasty. It won't be as bad as the summer trip, you can always borrow sweaters and layer up, but it's harder to peel off in summer if you don't have lighter stuff packed.
