Apart from school choirs etc, my first paid performance was in 1967 or 68. I'm a believer by the Monkeys was at No1 in the UK charts.

I was 15 the band was called Link Up (Naff eh!) the event was at a local girls school dance (Barham High Scgool for Girls). The fee was £1 - 10 shillings for the band an the same to a Cancer charity.

Very nerve racking with about 200 girls and no boys in the audience. Heaven! I can even remember some of their names and faces etc! (Well you said be honest!)
