I saw Arlo do this once and he did it as an audience sing with his very special and laconic line of patter to accompny it. Line by line he slowly teaches them this incredibly simple first verse.....it was hilarious.

I gotta' admit I stole it and added to it. I've done it a couple of times with great fun for all. At a state foster parent meeting, I had state officials up on stage acting out the words (for those who couldn't remember the words and needed visual aids) and looking like complete fools. It's too long to explain it all, but you can really have some fun with this and lighten up ANY group.
