My initial reaction is that we should leave an empty, vacant desert there to remind us "Never again!" And sad but true, we will forget. As in the past, security measures will be instated and gradually abandoned...unless the airports, airlines, and government are committed to funding proper security. Have you ever spoken with the Security people at major airports in the US? Most of them barely make minimum wage. The turnover is constant. They need to PAY trained professionals.
