Yo!

I played a gig recently with a guy I haven't played a note with in two years, and I'm still reeling from it!

In the intervening years since we last talked, never mind played together, he had added some long forgotten songs to his repertoire plus a few of his own.

It started to get me remembering of an old Stephan Grossman double album I once had - a Live one - and some of the songs, and rags that were on it.

I have had a look in thre database, and there are 3 songs on the subject of 'Delia'.
On the album, the song was called (I think) "All my friends are gone", but Delia was the lady in question, and the "High Sheriff shot her down...with a great big Gatlin gun"

Anybody recognise it, and not too distracted with worldly things to kindly post the words?

'Satisfied and Tickled too', was another track from that album, where I have all/ or most of the words of....but not necessarily in the right order.

This was one of those albums, along with some Irish trad albums that I played over and over, getting his riffs as best I could. I remember, for instance, a session in a pub in Ennis, many years ago, where a blues head beat out 'Powder Rag'. He played it in a dropped D, and told me that Grossman recorded in that tuning. Trouble was that I had been always under the impression that he was in DBGDBD, and I played it accordingly. Both tunings worked perfectly, with the bass runs easily accessible.

But if anyone could help me ressurrect these songs, I would be eternally grateful.

Take care out there.

B.
