These things make me so very sad.

Here in Nashville there have been threats, although the Imam (is that the right word? I don't know) at the local Islamic Center said most of the phone calls they have had have been supportive.

Not too far from where I live, a man who runs a Middle Eastern grocery has had some trouble. Yes, he is of Middle Eastern descent himself... but guess what? He's a citizen.

We have many other businesses here in Nashville that cater to the Arabic population, which is growing. Many of these people are refugees who tried to get away from terrorism by coming here. They want to be here. They are proud to be here.

Some people are just idiots.
