I've been going through some 1/4" reel-to-reel tapes of my father's recorded in the '60s and found a song by TH and MP from an English radio program hosted by John Peel. I'm wondering whether anyone else has ever come across this song as I'd love to find an original LP recording of it.It's called "Seamus the Showman" and is based on an old alphabet song: A is for horses B for supper C for yourself...etc
with the chorus
And The Showman he cried! "We're all at your side And, there's no need to worry at all"
If no one's heard of it, I've learned the lyrics and taught myself a fair version of the guitar accompaniment as played by Hart and will post it here. As I said, I'd love to know if there's an original out there first 'cos this song is great !
