Subject: RE: BS: The Legendary Saltergate Folk Weekend
I remember some two excellent New Year's Eves spent at the Saltersgate with a bunch of folkies. The pub has enough rooms for singing and tunemaking to happen without them clashing. If the weather is dry, there is also a beergarden overlooking the moors. I also recall an afternoon spent singing there during Whitby Folk Week one year.
The Saltersgate Inn is located just to the Whitby side of the magnificent feature known to me as the Devil's Cauldron, but to those from the Northeast as the Hole of Horcum.
When is the event due to finish George? We may be able to get there on Sunday if things are happening long enough to make the trip worthwhile!
Quack!
