Mrs. Duck, on the detailed map of Castle Caereinion no castle is shown. I also can't remember to have seen a castle there last year, but I passed the village on the main road below.

Maybe this is even better - send the bored one to the castle, it might take him some time till he finds out that there is no castle... ;-)
