Subject: RE: BS: The Legendary Saltergate Folk Weekend
Greetings Geoff the Duck, Sorry I was unable to chat at the Jug as predicted I was working!! Its a free and easy afternoon according to Deric Elliot so anything is possible. Thanks for confirming just what I already heard about the Saltersgate being a great venue. Quite a lot of Mudcatters have expressed an interest in a gathering at the Legendary Saltersgate in the future. If you manage to get over on the Sunday (I think Bill Sables is going on the Saturday)have a think about a Mudcat Meet sort of there and when! On Sunday night I Deric will move venues to the Tap N Spile in Whitby as this is his regular session. I quite often as you know go over to Whitby for the Weekend. I always go to the Sunday night session in the Tap n Spile. The down side is that I have to drive home afterwards so I can't Drink the Musicians and Singers Free Beer. That said the drive home around midnight is wonderfull. I'ts like a trip back in time over the moors and into Leeds with hardly a car to be found. There is another alternative which I have been told is quite possible. That would be to stay over in Whitby on the Sunday Night and an early start to commute in the Morning. Leeds being still under 2hrs away and traffic being light. Hope to see you some time Sunday if possible! Cheers Tyke PS The guest I brought along to the Jug on Wednesday had a great time! His favourite food is Pizza! Oh and Thank everyone at the Jug for making him feel so welcome!
