kat, since you are better placed to know than most, can you state authoritatively just what is the most acceptable appellation from the Afro-American point of view ? I have been told that "people of color" was regarded as a patronizing label, but that information is obviously inacurate. Sorry to put this thread back to the top, perhaps I should have opened a new one.
