Thanks to everyone above for their kind comments. This may not be of much use the Mudcatters out Alice Springs way or anyone else very far from NYC but I thought I would just let you know that there will be a "CD Release Party" in Manhattan on Friday, 5FEB. Pardon me if I'm being crudely commercial.
I don't exactly know what a "CD Release Party" is or should be. If any of you know, please advise. We did one of these at a place where I sing regularly back in early December and Murphy's Stout came down with baloons and hats and the like but I don't think we can count on them this time.
Brian Conway, a fine New York Irish fiddler and All-Ireland Champion who can trace his lineage through Andy McGann to the great Michael Coleman, will be joining me along with Bob Conroy, a terrific banjo/guitar player and singer who does a lot of Irish-American and sea songs.
I have invited everyone else who took part in the recording. If they all show up, this will take on the dimensions of a folk festival; I make no promises, however.
