Captain Terence O'Neill was Prime Minister of Northern Ireland at the beginning of the Troubles. He "tried" to bring both sides together with singular lack of success. A cousin of mine penned a little ditty on the subject of Terry which he called - funnily enough - "Terry the Pink". The chorus of this parody ran as follows:-

We'll drink a drink a drink
To Terry the Pink, the Pink, the Pink;
The saviour of the Ulster face.
For he invented "Invisible Progress"
Most efficacious in every case.

The verses are hilarious - and very caustic.
