I use a product called FAST FRET, and it seems to make regular strings last longer. It is a tubular thing shaped like Old Spice roll on, and it lasts a very long time. It's about $5.00 and well worth it. It removes the moisture and acid from the strings. I've given away two of them to infidels. I gotta quit giving things away...
