A bunch of us got together for a hoot at Bob (Deckman) Nelson's last night (great evening, by the way!), and this came up:--

It takes a goofy singer to sing a goofy song;

We're goofy now; we've been goofy all along.

Not a Child ballad, but I thought it wasn't bad for "off the top of the head."
