Boab, your spelling, according to a poster in one of the threads about this song, is in agreement with a Child spelling. The spelling seems to vary somewhat, depending upon the source. (See the DT, for instance.) It was pointed out in one person's post in one of those threads that the important thing was to pronounce it correctly - with the double E sound. I am an outlander and can only plead ignorance.
