Janis was the classic "Carrie", the homely girl who had a really rough time of it through school and relished being able to sock it to' em at last Such a pity she couldn't handle being in control.

I have nothing against Janis Joplin, and I think the post from our Guest above is despicable, but I do wish that she had never covered "Me and Bobbie McGee".

Every wannabee at every open mike attempts to imitate her version, and I just wish they would sing it straight, like KK did.
