Hi Kat...

Janita Baker, of Bob and Janita Baker, Blue Lion Instruments, is a wonderful dulcimer player and has several recordings out of ragtime, classical, etc. ( They also make the most beautiful sounding dulcimers I've ever heard...I have a McSpadden, which is a lovely instument, but not a patch on a BlueLion dulcimer.)

Their website is www.bluelioninstruments.com. A Yahoo search came up witih at least 2 places to get Janita's recordings: www.riverlarkmusic.com and www.riversongmusicshoppe.com. They are probably also available through their own website.

Not sure if it's on any of janita's recordings, but whatever the theme music is for Masterpiece Theater is fairly easy to play (it must be, if I can play it!), and is a good place to start. If you've never watched MT, perhaps someone with a better memory than mine knows the name of this much played classical piece.

Hope this helps....
