Bravo, pavane! As for sticking S's on the ends of words: here in the Other Washington, we like to pretend any and every public establishment is named after somebody, with the apostrophe of ownership. Thus we have grocery stores like Safeway's and Alberson's and Fred Meyer's, and the warehouse club Costco's, and so forth.
What I hate are people who can't tell the difference between a regionalism and an error in grammar. :)
