Simplest solution is to give every person in Afghanistan a free ticket to New York, and all expenses paid for a month, Broadway shows, Madonna concerts, restaurants free, health care, teeth fixed, you name it, and if they want to stay at the end of their journey, fine, you get to be a citizen. Drop leaflets saying: next Thursday, at the border, your ticket is waiting, and the planes are ready. No tricks. There are only about 5 million of them, easily absorbed into America: Canada could take a couple of hundred thousand, Britain too. It would probably cost about 20 billion dollars. Help restart New York, completely destroy any anti-American coalition. Pre-emptive benevolence. You heard it here first.
