At the time I, and many other Canadians thought that they were treated way too leniently. But in retrospect, they were rehabilitated and further punishing them worse than common murderers would have sent the wrong message.

I am proud of Canada's tolerance as well as her respect for law and order. With all due respect to other countries, I believe that "Peace Order and Good Government" Is as good as a national motto can get.
