Actually, the thread took a turn for the worse before you posted to it about tapioca - it was Sol's post that prompted my little outburst rather than yours.
I think it might be because folkies usually feel they can trust each other, and the atmosphere at folk events is usually so supportive, that being let down by a folkie friend is so devastating. But now I've been a member of Mudcat for a month or so I've realised how many flamers, trollers and puveyors of general mayhem there can be.
