She was EVERYBODY's girlfriend back then, I agree though her version of the song was the best. I keep meaning to take it to my local Folk Club as the "Song of the Month" So I think it's folky enough. There again if you look in my record collection by quantity, #1 Steeleye Span #2 Rolling Stones. If you have singer songwriter types where you play, WHY could you not sing this song. JohnB
