Subject: Pirate Party for Halloween-10/27/01
The Maine Maritime Museum in Bath is holding its annual Pirates Halloween Party on Saturday, October 27th, from 6 to 9 pm. It's always great fun for children of all ages with a waterfront raid by nautical author Jim Nelson's band of pirates, story telling around a bonfire, appropriate songs led by members of Roll & Go in the beautiful new timber-framed dining hall, and a magic act in the same hall.
Costumes are welcome. There are opportunities for participation on all levels, and the Museum itself is well worth exploring; it's a former working shipyard that built some of the largest schooners in the world, including the 6-masted Wyoming. You might as well spend the entire day there. Admission is on the order of $6 for adults.
Roll & Go members will include Norris Dale, Brett Burham and Charlie Ipcar, along with a couple of pirate wenches.
