Did I just post "You Hear the Lambs A-Cryin'? I'm losing track. The verses all include the tag line, "Oh, shepherd, feed My sheep," and one refers to Peter, saying "Peter if you love Me, feed my sheep."

Anyway I think it goes like that and that this would be the basis for the later gospel item you've encountered.
