This is how we are doing it... I think this is the one I was trying to post, and lost, last week.... if I get a chance I'll look up the citations on source (and variants and those sources).... this version is adapted from the John Work version in American Negro Songs, but with a few changes and I think I added a verse and changed the verse order... I think the second verse below is mine, and the last verse was originally [Peter] not [child].
