BILLY FAIER ia a fine 5-string banjo player who, with his seminal album The Art Of The Five String Banjo in the late 50s for Riverside Records, showed how the banjo might and could be used for all kinds of music nobody except Pete Seeger had even thought of using it for: calypso, blues, flamenco, greek, arabic---just about anything.
