Thanks for asking.I was very pleased to find that the audience (and the sponsoring parish) was a very mixed group. The church hall was a "multi-use" space. There were basketball hoops at either end, votive candles to the side and a stage also. I think they had 400 seats set out; about 360 were taken but I believe the concert was over-subscribed by well wishers.
Musically, we had a lot of fun. The groups supported each other and we finished the evening with The Leaving of Liverpool (quite fitting because Bill Doerflinger had collected it just 2 blocks away) and This Land is Your Land. There was a request (by acclimation, really) for God Bless America at the end.
I think the concert raised about $4,000.
Lou Killen is at the apartment for a house concert tomorrow. Many of the same singers will be here. No rest for the wicked!
All the best,
Dan
