Glad you enjoyed the Messengers. It is my great honor to lead the group... being white, a folk singer and all.. Our bass, Joe Evans is 77, so he didn't learn his songs from books.. like we are more inclined to... have to. Frank Cumming is a mere 75. Both of them grew up in the south, and had ex-slave family members around when they were growing up. They know how to drive a mule and castrate pigs (and disappearing art form, of its own.) We are hoping to pull together some live recordingsand make a CD this winter, as you said. We are from southern Connecticut, but are venturing further afield now... sang in central Missouri in April.
