I consider Fred Kelly's "speed pick" the best thumb pick that I've ever tried. The thing I like about them is that they do not slip, are not real tight on the thumb, and they are more sensitive giving you a feel of touching the string. Surprisingly I've never had one break. I have been using them for around fifteen years or thereabouts.

Incidentally, I live in Mio, Michigan about thirty miles east of Grayling MI whare the strings are manufactured.
