As a relative youngster, the medicine shows were long gone when I was coming up, though we often saw the pitchmen at the country fairs(as a boy, I was completely enthralled by the pitchmen, which later led me to a career in advertising) My question for you is, did you buy any of the medicine? It was not lost on me that the pitchmen sounded a lot like politicians--the difference? The pitchmen gave you something for your money!
