Big fuss today on the Folk DJ group because DJ Paul Stamler presented a program of traditional music and did not play anything from a Folk Legacy album called 'Songs and Ballads of Hattie Mae Cargill'.

David Jones responded to this sin of omission by writing, "I am very disappointed in your selections. I always considered you kind of an authority until now. but you blew it!!"

In an e-mail to Sandy Paton, David Jones further wrote, "Copy of letter I sent to P Stamler. His standing in my mind took a nosedive. I will never read his playlist again. when I see his name, my name will go immediately to the delete button. Gillian Welch???? authentic? she is pure bulls--t. same with Allison Krause. Now Paul Stamler is s--t as far as I am concerned. Acie's stuff far surpassed anything on his list and he totally ignored it. I am pissed. people read his playlists and bulls--t comments and look up to him as an authority. I know now he is nowhere. just another loser."

Funny thing is, Paul Stamler's playlist didn't even include Gillian Welch or Alison Krauss.
