I recently went on DSL, mainly because it leaves the telephone usable at the same time.

Now I'm speculating whether one could have one computer on the DSL while the other computer used a conventional modem over the conventional telephone side of the line. Seems to me it would work.

However, it would get back to the "I tried to call you, but it was busy, busy, busy" problem again.
