I went to Whitby today to meet up with friends at the Captain Cook Festival
It was a beautiful day ..... warm, sunny, tranquil,just the opposite of usual Autumn weather.
The sea was totally calm and a wonderful shade of meditteranean blue

There were lots of people around in the afternoon but most of them went home before it got dark and I was one of those
Walking back to my vehicle I had to cross a stretch of newly laid paving. The slabs had been laid randomly and were of different sizes. I'd almost made it from one side to the other when I realised that I was reverting to childhood and trying not to walk on the cracks
I can't imagine what I looked like .... but I didn't feel foolish. The actions seemed to fit with the atmosphere and I am just glad that I am still capable of such a response

Has anyone out there suprised themselves with similar actions??
