I have been try to find out when BBC TV viewers , other than BBC Scotland, who have already seen it, will be able to see the follow up to The Transatlantic Sessions.

I have received the following from BBC Scotland.

"Thank you for your email. To clarify the position, BBC Scotland are extremely proud of "Transatlantic Sessions" the first series of which was very well received both North and South of the Border. Unfortunately, although the second series was offered to network television in London, by BBC Scotland, the Controller of BBC2 decided not to show the series. I would suggest that you direct any further comment on the situation to Jane Root, Controller BBC2 at Television Centre in London.

And the following from BBC 2

"I'm the Deputy Scheduler on BBC Two. We have no plans to repeat The Transatlantic Sessions 2 on Network. Thanks for your email.

That would appear to be it! I have asked as to the reasons for this decision, but have not yet received a reply, I will post it here if I receive one. I think that it may help the cause if they could receive a few more requests for the programmes to be shown. Your help would be greatly appreciated by me, if not by the BBC..

It does not make a lot of sense to me, for us, as licence payers to fund quality programmes on our music, which are rare enough, only to be denied the opportunity to see them.
