Back when I was a radio advertising salesperson, we would have meetings in which we had to tell our manager how much advertising we thought we were going to be able to sell each month. We went through our lists, client by client, and would say how much and how positive we were of the sale. It got to be a standard joke, when we were not sure at all of a sale from a specific client, to tell our manager that sale was a "possible, for sure, maybe" which really meant it was only a remote possibility but we would try our best to make it happen.
