Sinks used to be made of zinc, I think, maybe from that reference?

I noticed the other day, that my dad, one of the few natives left of Western Colorado with that genuine accent, sings "Deekota" in 'Dakota Cross." I have no idea where that came from. It's a soft "ee" but very distinct.
