Why does your timeline end at 1965? Obviously you have to draw a line describing the most influential period, but I might suggest adding a few years as many of the legislative changes went into effect...say Dr. King's murder in '68. I dunno'...turbulent times, and music was a significant part of it all. I think many of the generation believed that you could end war and poverty and racism if you just sang loud enough...
