Dear Rebecca,

You've captured in your beautiful poem the essence of that yearning all of us feel who have lost friends in similar circumstances. For some of us, unfortunately, this kind of thing has happened more than once. I still hold these friends in my mind and heart, and am very grateful that they came into my life. Thank you so much for sharing your heart with us.

That feeling of wondering loss is the reason that I never say 'goodbye' to the people I cherish without adding the words, 'I love you.'
