Thread Name: IVAN B.--Hero&Carnegie Hall Arranger
Subject: IVAN B.--Hero&Carnegie Hall Arranger
Everyone needs to hear this little tale. Kitty West, an excellent singer and picker, won an e-Bay auction to appear at the annual Thanksgiving Concert that Arlo Guthrie does every year at Carnegie Hall. Kitty is a regular over at a site called Tweed's Blues. Tweed got to dropping by the 'Cat and I got to dropping by Tweedsville. In any case, when Kitty found out she would have to supply her own orchestra arrangement of her original composition, Mighty Mississippi on VERY short notice.....well, it was a shock to say the least. I personally figured she was screwed. Then Tweed brought the problem here with this thread....check it out now.

Now that you have read the thread, you need to know that

IVAN DID IT !!!

With all of the time constraints and working with a song he had never heard.......IVAN GOT THE JOB DONE!!!! Kitty left this message for him over at Tweed's:

Ivan ,you are a hero. (For the rest of you who might not know what I'm talking about, Ivan B worked very hard in an extremely short amount of time to put "Mighty Mississippi" in symphony form...Wow. He saw the request for help and jumped right in.....not knowing anything about me....just that this needed to be done, and he did it. Ivan, I haven't been able to get the program open yet . When I get to NY I'll see if someone there in Arlo's crowd will get it taken care of...Thank you so very much for your generous help!!

This is one helluva' place ain't it? And Tweed's is a great place too.....The amount of support they gave Kitty was much like we see here...Good Folks there too.

Ivan, you are indeed a hero and the best of what Mudcat is about. And ain't it great how the net can work? Thanks Ivan......and the Mudcat too will have pride in our member who's "going to Carnegie Hall."

Thank you Ivan......
