I was in the third grade and sang a lovely rendition of "Just a Dainty Little Fairy." Did choreography as well, turning around in a circle and plunking my magic twanger toward the audience at appropriate moments. My gauzy wings, as I recall, were made from muslin stitched onto two coat hangers.

I think I could remember how my mom did that costume if anyone would like to do their own. Catspaw? Rick?
