I can not, alas, attend this concert as I am performing that day in Philadelphia, but I urge everyone who is interested in Jewish or Spanish culture to hear this magnificent singer. I have been a Joe Elias fan for twentyfive years, and I am never less than blown away by the power and clarity of his voice. Joe lives in semi-retirement now. He is, dare I say it, a senior senor, but that trumpet of a voice is as sweet and strong as ever. I am the CD reviewer for Tune Up, a publication of the Philadelphia Folksong Society.
