Genie, I have an Austrian friend who coached me on the German lyrics. It may be originally Austrian. The link in the thread catspaw gave no longer connects. I have the notation with German lyrics somewhere. I'm sure it's on the 'net, too, just look at the international Christmas carol site I linked to in one of the carol threads. (I have it bookmarked, but I'm not on that computer right now.)
