DECISION TIME it looks like Noel this year

XP (Chi Rho) is seen on a lot of alter cloths. Thanks Walrus, it clears-up a mystery so nuetral that I never pursued it. But being a fully paid-up member of Pedants Anonymous it is one of lifes pleasures finding snippets like that. It was St Andrew who was strapped to an X shaped cross.
"Jouyeaux Neol" isn't that a back-formed short hand for what we would call XPmas (sic) Joys? Assuming Anglophones had gone down that route instead of "seasons greetings" (when there is only one season involved - but let's not be too posessive about it).
