Quebec separation. Ah... here's the rub !!! La Belle Province joined Confederation and gained Prince Rupert's Land and Ungava AS LONG AS THEY REMAINED IN CONFEDERATION. Jacques Parizeau said that any attempt to redraw Quebec's borders after separation would be met with military force... ie, the ceding of those lands as per agreement would not be honoured. He is unheard of these days.
