OK so it is the same group. I have known Tony for years, although I have not seen or heard of him much since I left England 24 years ago. He used to live in Smithy Bridge, near Littleborough. about a 10 min walk from the Fishermans. We lived there too. We still send Christmas cards to Jack and Mavis.
