Joe Elias is one of the very few singers of Ladino music who has learned his material through oral and instrumental traditions transmitted from generation to generation.

Wunsch Hall is the Polytechnic University student center. It is located on the campus of Metrotech Center in Downtown Brooklyn, close to the Marriott Hotel. The nearest subway stops are Jay Street - Borough Hall and Lawrence Street.
