"Alas, my love - " ...this is rather laborious without a tab program, but perhaps this will be enough to get you started? It continues much as shown above.
The Murphy book has a lot of "history" and other interesting stuff, and I'm sure you'd enjoy it; but his instructions for tunings and such are all in terms of "counting frets," and my S.O. is the authority there. I'd have to draw pictures to figure it all out.
His "Aeolian tuning" instructions are:
Sound the bass string on the sixth fret and tune the first string to this note. Then sound the bass string on the fourth fret and tune the middle string to this note.
Makes perfect sense - and I'm sure it's the standard thing, but don't help me know what note is which.
