Big Nige
(Steve Womack)
I can't forget the day he came into my life
His eyes cut through me like a switch blade knife
He stood five foot four, weighed seven stone two
And if he spoke at all he just said booBig Nige, Big Nige, big bad Nige
He wore a lovely little number in Salmon pink silk
And he posed at the bar wit a glass of warm milk
A smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye
I thought if that boy's straight then pigs can flyWell he worked up high and he worked down low
He worked where most men just wouldn't go
He must have been to Africa or worked at London Zoo
Cos someone once told me he'd seen a cockatooHe took me out shopping I think Monday last week
And we both bought hats from a flash Boutique
I bought a leather one to match me leather belt
Nige was undecided in the end he got feltWell the end came late one Saturday night
When he challenged seven miners to a bar room fight
They chased him though the town they were rough and they were boisterous (I love that word boisterous)
Nige hid in a church and they kicked him in the Cloisters
There you go
