Nathan and Seth, I've been told (repeatedly, by allededly reputable sources) that the original recording of Rudolph was on the "B" side of a song that Gene Autrey wanted to record, but that he did not want to record RRND--that he only did it because his wife insisted--, and that, to his surprise, RRND became the hit.
Was "If It Doesn't Snow On Christmas" the song originally intended to be the "A" side, or was there an earlier recording with RRND on the "B" side of a different song?
